Behind on posting

I've had sick kids since Thanksgiving. 4 double ear infections, 2 sinus infections, 2 stomach viruses and a partridge in a pear tree! I'm ready for some good spring weather and healthy kids again!

Let's take a spring moment...

Ahhhh...I feel better now.

I'm finally catching up on some much needed projects and photo-taking.

The hubs made tons of these blocks for me. Love Him!
I'm doing each side in a different holiday so I never have to put these away.

I also finished this burlap monogram. I had a lot of burlap left over from a lamp redo (pictures of that to come). I'm thinking I'm going to hang this little beauty in the middle of a large mirror in my entryway with some black ribbon.

Can you believe both projects were totally free! I had all of the materials on hand. The frame the monogram is in was given to me. It had been gold till I got a hold of some black spray paint! I also used up a bunch of scrapbooking scraps from my stash. Love it when these kind of projects come together!

So, there you have it folks, this is what I've been up to between parental duties.

Happy Spring!

Look What I Made Day!

I'm going out on a limb today.
Out of my comfort zone.
Yep, you heard me.

After months of lurking at Creations by Kara I'm going to participate in

Creations by Kara

This is the first time I've ever participated in any type of blog "party" or share.

So here goes...
I made this cute little plaque this week while Miss M. was home sick from school. I found the block of wood in a box in my craft closet. (I forgot to take before pictures) It had a painted tree scene on it. Way too country for me.

I spray painted it (I lurve spray paint!)

Mod Podged (my other obsession) some vintage looking scrapbook paper to the front, stamped the message, added a leopard print ribbon. and..

Viola!

A cute little plaque for my living room.
