MPS Challenge #11

Ok...this is the last one I'm going to get done.

Colors of the rainbow.....

MPS Challenge #3

Think Outside The Box- Do something on your scrapbook page, card, or other item that you wouldn't normally do.

Since I'm working on Teacher Appreciation stuff, I used this challenge to help me get some treats done. I made bag toppers and used chalk on the saying. I've only used chalk once before and am not quite sure how to use it except for the edges of stuff. How do you use chalk?

The bags aren't filled yet. I've got to find some Smarties candies to go in them. The saying at the top says, "Because of you, I'm a real SMARTIE!"

MPS Challenge #9

I'm not exactly going in order, or doing all of the challenges, but here is #9.

"Take Shape"-Challenge: Make a shaped card, shaped scrapbook page, or shaped project! Easy enough!!

I made a goodie bag for each of M's teachers and will fill them with some candies.

MPS #6

Here's challenge #6- Kids Craft, Too!

My six year old, Miss M. has been bugging me to make her a bookmark. She LOVES to read! So, when I saw this challenge, I knew exactly what we were going to do. I called her in and asked her what she wanted on her bookmark, of course, she said Hello Kitty. She used my Cricut, with a little help, but did most of it herself. Her favorite part was running it through the Xyron to laminate it!

MPS Challenge #5

Challenge #5 was to create something for Teacher Appreciation. I made these fabric bookmarks. I used some scraps of cardstock between the layers of fabric to give it a little weight. I then sewed them all together and trimmed with pinking shears. They turned out really cute, I'm going to use up the rest of my scraps to make some as gifts.

MPS Challenge #2

Challenge #2 is to make something using scraps. I had plenty to choose from, but this was a hard challenge for me. I wanted to make a birthday card for my nephew who is turning 20 tomorrow, but inspirations just would not hit. So, I made a card to send to a friend.

It's pretty plain, but I was using scraps! If you look closely the hat, chaps and boots are cut from woodgrain patterened paper.

Happy National Scrapbook Day!

I'm participating in Robin's (My Pink Stamper) day long NSD challenges. This is challenge #1:

Make a scrapbook layout, card or other item with your mother or someone dear to you in mind

I made a Mother's Day card for my mom. I used a cream cardstock from The Paper Company. The flower pot is actually the present from Doodlecharms. I cut the bow from the top and then added some lines with a black pen to make it look more like a clay pot. The paper is from DCWV's Mariposa line. I cut the flowers also from Doodlecharm. The stems were cut by hand and ribbon leaves were stapled to the stem. The dark pink flowers were attached with pop dots to give it some dimension. And of course, you can't do anything without a little bling, so I added some Hampton Arts glitter glue to the center.

Hope you like it!
